I will start by telling you how I got my name MaiTai. Being on the net I came across a few girls named Carol, Oh yea, that is my real name! So I figured I'd better think of a new name. Being a bartender at a Chinese restaurant, and my specialty is making MaiTai's, I figured that would be an appropriate name. Hope you agree!!

How I got on the Internet is beyond me. My hubby bought this PC for my daughter. He wanted it for games and I wanted no part of it! Well, they talked me into trying it out. At first I was a little intimidated, but I quickly got the hang of it!! I didn't realize after almost 30 yrs. my typing skills would still be there. My daughter got me into MS Word and I practiced typing the alphabet and next thing I knew I was typing 50 wpm, needless to say I was very excited, I could keep up with all of the people in the chat rooms! I started, what I guess they call surfing and found myself loving it!

If someone told me I would be making my own page, I would say they were nuts! So at this time,

This page is going to be a little about a lot of things, so if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear from you!

I love to cook, and create new recipes. I am very self concious of my weight and have been a yo yo dieter all my life. I finally think maybe this time I have come to terms with the right way to do things. I have a healthy page now, so if you are interested in trying to change your life style stop by. Right now I am maintaining and its very hard. I had most of my thyroid removed which is why I have a hard time. I do not use that as an excuse. I found that when I incorporated exercise in my daily routine, it makes a big difference. I will give all the support I can to whoever wants it and needs it!

When I cook I improvise. I find that any recipe that you like you can make it low fat. I do not measure, but I will be happy to give out the ingredients, so if you have them, go for it!!

I am a bartender, so if you need a party punch recipe or just want to know what goes in a drink, I will be glad to help. I make a lot of frozen drinks too! Most drinks can be made non- alcoholic. I improvise with drinks too!!

I was also a hairdresser for 17 yrs. So I can give out a little advise there too. I still carry my license, so it will be legal! LOL!

I have been married for 31 yrs. My husband's name is Jimmy. We did seperate for eight years, but found our way back, it wasn't easy but it happened, and I(we) learned a lot. We have never been happier. I always tell people never give up hope, if its meant to be it will be!

By the way we hang our hat in Weymouth, MA, a suburb south of Boston.

We have one daughter, her name is Amy she is 27. We get along very well. We are really good buddies!! Now that she is an adult, we hang out all the time together. I can't forget Joe, who I love as my own, he is my son in law. Amy and Joe got married October 21st 2000.

UPDATE: I am going to be a grandmother the end of Oct.(2002) I am so excited!! We all are. It's a girl and her name will be Emily :o)
