Spices should never be stored near a microwave exhaust fan or range top. The heat tends to cause a loss of flavor, potency and even color. All spices should be stored in a cool dried location or in the refrigerator. I just got new carpet and it was a few weeks before I got new furniture, so when the new furniture came, I had naps, so this is what you do to raise the naps of carpeting. You place one or two ice cubes on the area overnight. In the morning the carpet should be back up!! Yep it works. Most times it will come back up on its own, but if your impatient like me, this will work faster. Also carpet with colors will be more livelier if you sprinkle a small amount of salt on before you vacuum!! So that's what this page is all about, "Little Tidbits" I will have a new tidbit for you everyday. I hope that will encourage you to come back and visit! Hope you will enjoy!!
![]() Here are a few Helpful Healing Facts: Place an ice cube on a splinter a few seconds before removing it. This will deaden the area. A slice of cold onion placed on a bee or insect bite should stop the pain and swelling.
Here are some ideas on things to use for stain removal!! Did you know that cornstarch will remove blood stains?? Yep!! Also egg stains will respond to cold water only, hot water will only set the stain. To make your porcelain sink look like new, place paper towels on the bottom and sides of the sink, then saturate with bleach. Clean after an half-hour to one hour. Now here is a strange one, rust stains on clothing can be removed with rhubarb, Use the hot juice from 5-6 stalks. Here is one that I'm sure everyone could use. If your shoes have an odor, treat them to a shot of baking soda. It does wonders!! To remove most grease stains from cloth, try rubbing the stains with lard before washing with a detergent. Imagine putting a grease solution on a grease spot to remove. It does work. For instance when I was hairdressing, and I was coloring someones hair, to get the stains off the skin I would use the hair color itself to remove the stains. Well, how do you think I'm doing so far?? Please feel free to e-mail me, and let me know. Got a problem?? Maybe I can solve it!

"The Book of Answers" by Barbara Berliner and "The Best of Uncle John's Bathroom Reader" by the Bathroom Reader's Institute. boythats a little tidbit of its own!! Did you know the the most widely sung song in the English-speaking world is "Happy Birthday to You"
Mildred and Patty Smith Hill, two sisters fom Louisville, Kentucky, published a song called "Good Morning to All" in a kindergarten songbook in 1893. Today, whenever "Happy Birthday" is sung commercially, a royalty still must be paid to the Hills...Gee, did you all know that? Boy the things we don't know. But thats why I am here!!
I bet you didn't know the last name of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, it was Gale. Speaking of last names, this one everyone probably knows. The last name of Lucy and Linus in the "Peanuts" comic strip. Its Van Pelt. Let's not leave out Charlie Browns family..Did you know his father was a barber?? Who supplied the voice of Mr. Ed? Well it was Rocky Lane, a cowboy movie hero, of course, of course of course....but George Burns also supplied the voice on at least one episode. The greatest number of kisses in a single film was one hunderd twenty-seven in the movie Don Juan Played by Mary Astor and Estelle Taylor received from John Barrymoore. Bet you don't know Joe Fridays badge number, on Dragnet......O.K. It was number 714
For those of you that are familar with our friend the "Taz" here is a little tidbit on the origin of her name. It is a marsupial, 20 to 31 inches long, with black-brown hair, a bushy tail, and a bearlike face. It lives in rocky parts of Tazmania, an island south of Australia, and eats small animals and carrion. It is called devil because of its nasty expression, husky snarl, and bad temper...Well, why Taz would pick a name so unlike her friendly self is a mystery. She's a great gal..Nothing like her namesake...thought you might like to know this little tidbit.
Can you stand all these little tidbits?? I think you might fine this little tidbit interesting, seeings how all of us on the net try to make the best of our smiley faces :o)
The smiley face was introduced in 1969 by N.G.Slater, a New York button manufacturer. At first I guess it didn't go over to big, but in 1970 more than 20 million buttons had been sold...making it a craze as popular as the Hula Hoop of the 1950's. Pop-culture pundits called it the "peace symbol of the seventies," and presidential candidate George McGovern adopted it as his campaign logo. The fad died out after about a year, but in the mid-"70's" made a comeback...this time colored yellow and bearing the cheerul message By the late 1970's people were completely sick of it...And now the internet can't get enough of it, showing how we care about each other.
